How much for a rock n roll bed that will fit Fiat Doblo high top 2008? Thanks
A Stanley knife facing toward your bollocks with much force, what could go wrong?
Well, it appears nothing. I've been doing it since 1990 and so far nothing. Guess I'm just very good with it eh.
What bike are these from ?
what brackets did you use on the bottom of the tank
The aluminium ones that came with it are not designed for the ttr. The holes in them obviously fit on to the tank itself so I fitted them and offered it up to the correct position on the bike. Lined up where the holes are on the ttr frame marked them. Then took it off and drilled new holes in the brackets and cut the part of the bracket that stuck out.
Is she still going? Curios to hear how it performed and how reliable it has been since the build?
Yep, all good and going strong
Where i can buy a cilínder with 350ccm gor my TTR 250 ?
Totally ttr. Com
What front wheel and axel did you use?
Change a sproket will fix that gearing difference. Bigger on the front or smaller on the back.
Can’t hear you very well. You should talk louder!
Top day out
That is strange. Gravity should force the fuel through no matter the route.
Can you make a video showing where you routed the right side fuel line? I seem to be having a fuel delivery problem
Have you got a video on doing the floor ? These are awesome vlogs ! Hi from Australia
Thanks. Sorry I can't remember! You would have to watch through more to see.
Was the conversion worth it whats difference have you felt and the petrol tank how much of a difference is it compared to the standard. Im looking into maybe doing this conversion if its worth it. On highway speeds does the front feel unstable
So, The tank is when worth it I think. The front stays stable but when full and you are off road you can feel it being a little strange as there is a lot of weight until you use a about 8 litres. That being said if you are doing a lot of road to get where you need to go it gets you there. I only keep it half full if i am doing the rough stuff. Or save a ton of money, fit a rack and carry spare fuel instead. The 350cc conversion is not cheap at all, its takes a lot of time and effort to do too. If you are doing very steep off road and want to not be on full throttle then its worth it. It doesnt give you as much as a drz or a 250 enduro so dont expect that. BUT i have to say on all everyday riding on and off road the TTR is already amazing.
@mike-the-bike I had recently bought my bike from a buddy who only used it for back roads never rode it hard or on highways he took good care of the bike but I take it on highway and the front feels like the death wobble or very light hard to explain. The bike is bullet proof I know that much but I'm looking to get either a bigger tank or a tank that has a lock and some passenger pegs put on now she in the shop because recently I took her for a ride downtown parked it came back took her for a few blocks and heard a hissing sound that's worrying me I'm maybe looking into maybe jet kit performance ignition maybe what's you suggestion I'm a city rider that wants a lil more punch
@@BikerB215 the front end wobble will most certainly be the tyre. As for getting more road speed,.well it's a trail bike and a very good one. Its not a great road bike. Don't waste your money trying to make it faster.
@@mike-the-bike I was told the tires so I switched to a more street setting but few people said steering stem bearings or lower the triple tree a few inches the tires I had on were very aggressive off roads but I'm still stuck on what to try also the hissing sound worried me from the engine sounded like I was loosing air but came from the engine. It's in the shop now to get full tune and look over everything I'm thinking getting bigger tank or maybe if possible a fuel tank with a lock. Is there such for these bikes a fuel tank with a lock?
Just found your channel, mate and am excited to get my TTR250 even an inch closer to where yours is. Brilliant work
Very kind, thanks alot.
Top weekend away with a fine bunch of Animals.
Donde se consigue el cilindro a 350 amigo
Hi can i know where can i oder the big bore 350cc kits for my yamaha ttr250
Not sure they are still available. But its totally ttr. Com
I was wondering if you had found a way to replace the front fork caps (100 a piece). I have stripped one and you seem to be the guy to make stuff work, any suggestions?
You sell OEM tank? I need OEM tank
Hold on, 6th gear? Mine only has 5 gears…. I’m new to the channel have I missed something, like a gearbox upgrade or did they come standard as 6 speed over the there.
6 gears as standard. What's your bike?
See what happens when I can't come out 😅
I was doomed from the outset!
What headlamp do u use? Thanks for your videos👍
Well done lads! Braver than me....
It was bloody cold! 🥶🥶🥶
Good job👍. Re oil quantity, I'm sure my Raid is only just over 1litre. I think Steve also sells a magnetic sump plug, handy for your fresh motor. And liking the torque cube, what's its range and make please? You thought about a shorty header pipe? Not sure if they're gonna be available again, but the reviews wete good. Oh and Covid week here too, hence stalking you 😁
Thanks mate. Should be 1.45 litres. I will find out about the tourqe tool for you, not sure as its not mine. Although after using it I will now buy one
@@mike-the-bike sorry, my mistake, never managed to put anywhere near that capacity in, but then I've never had the side off!! The 7 plate clutch casing holds a bit more anyhow, apparently. 👍
@@smedders that's what I thought, it was completely dry in there.
Excellent viewing Mike. A nice honest summary too. Be interested to see if you gel with it more given time and running in. I love my Raid too, I've had 450s and yes they're quicker, but I quite like the stealth of the Raid. 180 mile range is a binus too. Keep us informed, cheers 👍
Yes same,.............. I am going to drop some teeth on the rear to see if I can get it where it used to be. I think that will sort it.
@@mike-the-bike it might work, Im running 14/48, tried a 52 rear but too buzzy on the tarmac, only very occasionally have I thought I needed it lower than 48. I'll await your next vid👍
@@smedders well 5th has become 6th when your riding and its like there is no 6th if that makes sense LOL. So i would need to go down to get it back
Really interesting conclusions Mike! As you know, I love TTRs and the 325 Thumper Racing kit was a revelation to me but was let down by oil leaks on cracked barrels - hence developing the 350 kit with a newly cast barrel with a decent amount of meat on it. My TTR finds better traction on the muddy Devon lanes in taller gears and the 350 kit allows that. It has to pull around my lardy 18+ stone bod which I am guessing is probably about 4 stone more than yours ;-) I fully understand what you mean about the fun of riding at full throttle and will never forget being allowed to do a couple of laps of an enduro circuit on Jamie Squibb's race CR125 - wow - not sure all the adrenaline has left my system after all these years! I still have the use of my brother-in-law's TTR250 and, yes, that is great fun to ride but, given the choice, the 350 wins hands down for my style of riding every time ;-) You have produced a really great series of build videos and I hope that the "right" owners find them as they are such a valuable resource - looking forward to whatever comes next ;-)
Thanks Brian. I agree with everything that you have written............ Pondering the gearing last night, I think maybe I just need to go down some teeth On the rear sprocket to get it around were it used to be BUT more overall power. I currently have 48 ........ not too sure how many to go down to? 46-47?. And thanks for the kind comments
@@mike-the-bike I would try 14/44 which was the standard gearing on may TTRs. I bought a new blue TTR250 many years ago and it had 14/44 gearing with a spare 13 tooth sprocket in with the documents and spare key, etc. I am running 14/48 on my 350 at the moment but that's only because I already had two rear wheels (one with a trials tyre and the other a knobbly tyre on) with good 48 sprockets and I am too tight to swap out good sprockets ;-)
Mark is that a standard camchain tensioner? Is it manual or automatic. Thanks in advance. Great way to do shims ...awesome video
Automatic
Cheers mate- great job
Good company 😎
She lives! Rides nicely too! Top job mate.
Sounded healthy! Looking forward to the test ride ;-)
Great to hear it run. Well done Mike.
I am sure you know Mark but the correct flywheel timing mark to use for TDC is the double not the single line ;-) PS Another great video by the way. Keep them coming!
!!! There is a H type mark and then a single line on the right and that's what I used. Following the manual for double checking!! Fingers crossed eh
@@mike-the-bike Oh dear - a senior moment by me :-( Of course you are right Mike - use the single line 👍
@@briansussex no worries I have them a lot! It made me double check which is not a bad thing.
It's getting exciting Mike! The 350 kit is a game changer for the TTR 🙃
Nearly there hopefully
You were lucky to hit Salisbury Plain in dry weather Mike! Looks to have been a good test ride. PS I hate ruts - you did really well on the one at the start of the video. They are easier to ride the faster you go BUT the faster you go the more it hurts if you deck it 😉
Yes its worse than ice in the wet that chalk!!! Very positive outcome with regards to the modification. Ruts are a nemesis for some, but the best and only tips are stay very loose on the bike and always look as far ahead as possible. Never look down.
Great job Mike! I was nicely surprised at how good it sounds ;-)
Just bought a TTR and so far am loving it. Any mods you'd recommend? I am looking to use it on short road rides to get to Green Lanes? Ta
Do you know what has been done previously?
nice 😁👍
That bit looked epic!
Was!
sooo how to you like the big tank 😁 love mine 😎 you should be able to get around 400ks before you hit reserve 🤔havent seen how far mine will get me once on reserve yet 😕 how did the new forks go , i am still running the standed ones in mine 😉or though i did pet heavier oil in and that made a heck of a difference 😁👍 keep safe-ish mate 😉🍺
I wish I had been able to get a clear one ! I keep bloody filling it up!! Weighs a ton!! But worth it as there is zero range anxiety lol. Forks, I did a straight back to back comparison. The standard ones are way better than they should be but the kyb's soak up so much more than you can imagine. That along side the development shock that Hagon made for me makes it handle like a modern enduro.
Top job, sounds much deeper. Bet it diunds even better as a 350
Good times 🤣
You've been busy 😉
Playing
Very good work!! One question, how thick in millimeters is the cutout of the doors in the board, thanks
i like your clever design ideas
very nice
Lmao😂😂🤣
How much bigger/smaller do you cut the doors compared to the opening with these hinges?
Hi. Use a 6mm router bit and the difference is the right gap
no one use this for help lol i mean for starters the excessive coper grease over the oil seal and stuff witch will just be like sand paper and cause more damage than good second the sprocket is wrong way around , no Loctite on the nut at all witch on drz is the most common issue also no torque wrench for the nut it has to be at least 100 nm 105 is the spot for the nut
